According to Bloomberg, the Amsterdam company successfully forced an antitrust ruling against Google in Russia, but now wants to the EU to follow that ruling.
Other companies want Android to unbundle its own services from Android smartphones.
And Yandex believes that the Russian ruling in its favour can easily be adopted by the European Union.
In September, the Russian antitrust authority told Google it would have to change agreements with smartphone vendors to let Yandex search and other third party services have access to Android devices.
The EU is already in the process of a five year probe into alleged antitrust behaviour on its search services.
