The Z9100, the S4048 and the S3048 support several operating systems and include 1, 10, 25, 40 and 100GbE switches.
They’re aimed at enterprises looking towards software defined networks and for data centres, supporting open networking.
The switches support the Open Network (ON) install environment and allow people to easily install pre-qualified OSes.
The Z9100-ON is a 100GbE fabric switch in a 1RU fixed form factor. Dell said it is designed for cloud, HPC and Web 2.0 applications and suitable for Big Data analysis.
The S4048-ON is 10/40GbE top of rack switch, supports large hardware tables, VXLAN and expanded buffering.
The S3048-ON is for mid market customers with an existin 1GbE installed base and is Dell’s first foray into 1GbE open networking switching.
The Z9100 will be available in the second half of this year, the S4048-ON is available now, and the S3048 will be available next month.
