Samsung goes tit for tat against Apple

The lawsuit battle between Apple and Samsung has got amusing with both sides demanding to see the other’s future plans.

Last week Apple managed to get the judge to order Samsung to hand over all its future designs so that it could see if the outfit was continuing to steal its design ideas.

Samsung is now requesting to view Apple’s upcoming devices such as the iPad 3 and iPhone 5.
Given that Steve Jobs would rather sell his body parts for live medical experiments than show off his toys to the great unwashed, you have to admire Samsung’s cheek.

Samsung has asked for the final commercial versions of the devices and should even include retail packaging and inserts. Samsung would like to see these devices as to compare them and evaluate any possible similarities with Samsung’s future offerings.

It is a moot point how damaging any disclosures would be. The court insisted that only Apple’s lawyers wereable to see any of Samsung’s products that were not released to the public yet, if the court did allow Samsung to see Apple’s shiny toys, then it would just be the outfit’s legal team.
However, it is also indicating that the court cause could slow down the release of the iPhone 5 and iPad 3. If these products are included in the case, then Samsung might petition the court to prevent the devices going on sale.

If that is the case then Apple might be starting to regret a case against its former business partner. Samsung has made a lot of Apple gear over the years, but it seems that Jobs’ Mob’s legal team has decided to let all that pass, to have a crack at Android.
