Another smartphone has walked into the already saturated smartphone market.
The Nokia N8 will let users sign up and use their favourite social networking sites as well as the opportunity to watch on demand online TV programs and access the Ovi Store, Nokia’s version of Apple’s popular app store.
Like many smartphones already in the market the N8 has support for gestures such as multi-touch, flick scrolling and pinch-to-zoom. Those who like their apps and widgets will also be pleased to hear that the homescreen can be personalised meaning you can access your stuff quickly.
Other standard mobile features include a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash as well as a video camera, which is claimed to record in HD.
The expected retail price will be €370 EU-wide. We’ll probably see the N8 hit shelves in the UK in Q3 of this year.
