24 million iPhone 4Gs expected to ship

Taiwanese manufacturers will be the principal beneficiaries of the Apple iPhone 4G, as details emerged of which company will contribute what to the innards of the phone.

According to the Taiwan Economic News, Hon Hai (Foxconn) will put the phones together while Chimei Innolux will contribute the LCD touch screen modules.

The wire said that when the phone is introduced in June, Foxconn will be able to deliver 4.5 million units and can increase the ramp during the second half of this year to between 10 to 12 million units a month.

The Economic News said that the LCD panels are fringe field switching (FFS)  units, with LG licensing the tech from Taiwanese firm Prime View International.  The iPhone 4G will, apparently, have a front end camera and multiplex features and is a CDMA unit, the wire claimed.

Dynapack Corporation and Simplo Technology Co will supply long lasting batteries for the phone, the wire reported, here.
