Do-no-evil firm Google has abruptly changed track on its Buzz policy after a flurry of complaints forced it to go into reverse.
Google introduced Buzz earlier this week in a bid to out-twitter Twitter. But its cunning plan unravelled because heaps of people found that auto-following all sorts of people they knew was a living nightmare.
While you can change privacy settings in Google, it’s far from obvious or easy and the company admitted it had some feedback.
It is going to change everything now.
But the damage may well already be done and people may well be telling Buzz to buzz off.
