Gigabyte launches USB 3.0 Web Contest

Do you fancy yourself as a bit of a techy designer? If the answer is yes, then motherboard and graphics card manufacturer Gigabyte is giving you the opportunity to put your brain where your mouth is.

The company has launched two new USB features to its Intel and AMD motherboard product lineup. This includes USB 3.0 compatibility, which delivers a 10x data transfer boost over USB 2.0, and USB Power Boost, which provides additional power and stability for USB devices such as external storage devices or optical drives.

And now it wants you to get involved.

In order to showcase these new technologies, Gigabyte wants you to tell it how you would best use the new technology. All you have to do is visit the website and upload your concepts for USB 3.0 devices or USB devices that can take advantage of a 3x USB Power Boost.

Ideas can be shown through videos, pictures, or just a description of the device. You will also get a chance to vote alongside the company on your favourite concept at the end of the competition to help decide who will win one of three Gigabyte H55M motherboards and  A-DATA NH01 Portable Hard Drives.
