Facebook flaw lets you view your friends' "private" chats

The Facebook security fears have just escalated into full-blown terror as a new gaping hole allows friends to view your private chats, according to TechCrunch EU, which just broke the story.

The new security flaw, which has just been reported to Facebook staff, comes about from a privacy feature that can be exploited to allow you to view the live chats of your friends.

Facebook has become well known for sharing too much detail, retaining copyright to things you share, and generally causing a big stir for those who value their privacy. This new loophole, however, is probably the biggest fault in the social notworking site to date.
