BT Internet users have been hit by a spout of internet connection problems and it seems the whole network is down.
We were first alerted to this problem when one of our colleagues, who is with BTInternet disappeared from our online radars. He later let us know his system was down.
We called the BT broadband status (0800 169 0199) which gave us an automatic message update for 3PM, stating: “We currently have a problem affecting the broadband service which means you may not be able to access the internet. Our engineers are fixing this problem as soon as possible. “
At 2PM the company also updated its website claiming: “We are aware of a temporary problem where some Broadband customers may experience difficulties connecting to the internet.
“Our engineers are working to resolve this issue and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
BT Press Office confirmed there is a problem. BT was aware of the problem with Authentication and logging in. The company is working to fix it as soon as possible.
