Lovers of Apple products could be lovers in real life with the new Apple fanboy dating site Cupidtino.
The new website, set to launch in June, is aimed at bringing enfatuated Apple users together to share their love on a whole new level. The makers claim that “diehard Mac and Apple fans often have a lot in common – personalities, creative professions, a similar sense of style and aesthetics, and of course a love of technology.”
They forgot to mention blind obedience, the assumption that they are iNdividuals and an inability to use technology that doesn’t have a shiny white finish.
The unusual name for the website is a blend of Cupid and Cupertino, the Californian city that houses the Apple headquarters. Fanbois will already know that, however.
Electricpig reports that applications for the dating service are in the works for the iPhone and iPad and aptly labels the entire thing as “a truly frightening prospect”. Flash applications have been ruled out.
So not only does Apple want to keep the development of hardware and software in the family, it wants its users to only date other Apple users as well. Scary.
