Sapphire intros budget HD5570

A 40 nanometer graphics card with 1GB of DDR3 memory has been introduced by add-in board company Sapphire.

The HD5570 is a low profile card aimed at the mainstream and using architecture from the ATI division of AMD, introduced today.

Sapphire cardSapphire said that it will sell different variants of the product – all with 400 Stream processors and supporting Microsoft DirectX 11 – it’s low power tech so no external power connection is needed.

The DDR3 memory has clock speeds of 650MHz and 900MHz. One of the models Sapphire is selling is fitted with Dual Link DVI, DisplayPort and VGA, supporting up to three monitors with the right kind of monitor.

Another model comes with DVI, HDMI and VGA, so digital TVs can be directly driven. Other versions will ship with extra low profile brackets for cases that aren’t too high.

No prices are yet available but the cards will ship in a week or two.
