Samsung and projection display company 3LCD have teamed up to create what they claim is the “first 3LCD LED projector.”
The F10M will ship early next year and is said to have 1,000 lumens with a light life of up to 30,000+ hours and offers XGA resolution and an image size range from 40 – 300 inches, with HDMI input and PC connectivity. It is also said that the projector offers an instant on/off functionality meaning that no warm up time is needed. The companies claim that these specs make the projector an “energy efficient” product.
Tom Grau, senior product marketing manager for Samsung Electronics, said: “Utilising 3LCD technology in the F10M was an obvious choice.
“The technology advantages offered by the 3LCD architecture ensure the F10M provides customers with an incredibly bright and energy efficient projector, and when paired with an LED light source, even more amazing colour and image quality.”
The projector also has a three chip Optical Engine claimed to deliver bright, true-to-life colour and does not have a colour wheel, which eliminates the “rainbow effect” often found on some similar products.
