RIM recalls faulty PlayBooks

Research in Motion (RIM) said over the weekend that it will recall PlayBook tablets that don’t boot up properly when you switch them on.

RIM told the Wall Street Journal that most of the faulty units are still swishing around in the channel and haven’t reeached the hands of customers.

People who have bother with the device can contact RIM for technical support, the statement continued.

The Canadian company has high hopes for its PlayBook devices and this will prove something of a blow in its efforts to compete with Apple and its iPad.
