NEC has announced an expansion to its MultiSync PA Series with a new 23-inch display aimed at the professional graphics market.

The MultiSync PA231W sports a 23-inch full high-definition screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The display has a brightness of 270 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. The display features 14-bit 3D lookup tables for calibration. In terms of colour coverage, it covers 75.4 percent of AdobeRGB, 96.6 percent of sRGB, and 71.6 percent of NTSC colour space, ensuring a wide variety of colours can be properly displayed. It’s got DisplayPort, two DVI-D inputs, a VGA connection, and a USB hub that can support two computers and three devices.

It comes on a four-way ergonomic stand which can height adjusted by 150mm, pivoted, swivelled, or tilted.

The typical power consumption is 46W or 15W if ECO Mode is turned on, which means it ranks at 5.0 on the Energy Star compliance scale. ECO Mode also provides a carbon footprint meter and cost meter.

It ships with DisplaySync Pro, which allows users to control two computers with a single keyboard and mouse.

Th PA231W will be abailable in November for an estimated retail price of $679. There is a four-year parts and labour limited warranty.
