Kingston has announced a new SSDNow product for the range, the SSDNow V+200.
The memory company insists it’s the option to pick for home or business users who want SSD performance without spending an arm and a leg. But you can spend an arm and a leg if you really want to.
Kingston’s product is built with the SATA 3.0 SandForce SF-2281 processor, which can manage outstanding read and write speeds of 535MB/s and 480MB/s respectively.
The kit’s available in a full set of different flavours, starting at 60GB at the low end, going up to 480GB. It can be bought as a standalone drive or as an upgrade kit.
A 60GB standalone SSD will cost £77 without VAT here in the UK, while the 480GB standalone costs an eye-watering £535. Kingston’s European product page is here.
