HP takes aim at fashion victims

Hewlett Packard has decided to make a bid to create machines for fashion victims.

It has introduced a netbook designed by Vivienne Tam’s “Butterfly Lovers” design – the machine is called the HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam Edition.

Vivienne Tam HP NetbookThe machine weighs 2.7 pounds avoirdupois and is less than an inch thick so it will fit into your bag if your bag is big enough.

It will be out on March 19th for $600 and HP is threatening to bring out a Butterfly Lovers themed mouse for $40 at the same time.

What’s it got? It has a 10.1-inch LED widescreen display, 2GB of memory, and Windows 7.

Luvvie Ms Tam has something to say about the matter. “As a fashion designer I have always found inspiration in bringing contrasting worlds together. I use computers in every aspect of my life so it seeemed natural to marry fashion and technology.”

There is little that is new under the sun and this isn’t the first time a notebook vendor has tried to make something a little different.Olivetti, remember them, made notebooks covered in the finest Italian leather.
