Crazy graphics guy plays with six monitor system

Senior graphics analyst with gravitas, Dr Jon Peddie, has been playing with a system that can support six monitors.

This is the six headed ATI based Eyefinity, explains Dr Peddie, and links together six 22-inch 1920×1080 pixel displays – amounting to 5760×2160 resolution.

It uses a 2GB GDDR5 graphics board running on an Intel based 3.7GH 4GB, solid state drive Nehalem system.

Dr Peddie says that the drivers are still in beta but by the 29th of this month, the final version is out, and he’ll tell more.

He’s getting his head round H-A-W-K, a Ubisoft flying game, and he’s got some pix of the rig, right here.
