While Fujitsu was something of a pioneer in tablet, pen and touch screen technology for PCs, the best laid plans of mice and men – or rather Microsoft – caused it to lose heart
It had the trademark iPad registered in the USA but, according to Macworld, the US Patent and Trademark Office described the name as abandoned in April last year.
The site claims that Apple wants to take the name away from Fujitsu and has until the end of February to show it rightfully owns the name iPad.
It’s a shame – for Intel – that it lost the attempt to trademark the letter “i” all those years ago. *sn’t *t?
