Johnson oversaw Dell's 2009 purchase of Perot Systems which put Dell into the technology services market alongside IBM and HP. Other deals during his tenure included Quest Software, SecureWorks, SonicWall and Wyse Technology.
This meant buying Perot Systems and several other acquisitions to provide new revenue streams.
The deal is between the FBI and Perot Systems Government Services, a subsidiary of Dell Services. This will be one of 46 companies providing services for the FBI, with Dell fulfilling a valuable IT supply and support requirement.
FinancialDell's public sector revenue - including its Perot Systems integration - was $4.4 billion, or a 20 percent increase. Operating income was 10.2 percent of revenue at $451 million.
Server and networking revenues have increased 35 percent with the rapid growth in blades. Storage revenue improved 13 percent led by EqualLogic storage products, which grew by 63 percent and services revenue increased 57 percent to $1.9 billion with the inclusion of Perot Systems.

Dell added that its first-quarter results "reflect the powerful combination of Dell and Perot Systems and sound company execution in an overall improving business environment." Dell bought computer services firm Perot Systems for $3.9 billion last year.
