Nokia and Intel pimp merged software

Intel and Nokia have decided to create a marriage of convenience between software they use for netbooks and high end smartphones.

At the MWC today they said that Maemo and Moblin – both based on Linux – will become Meego.

They hope it will have a go and challenge Apple’s software and Google’s Android. However, both Google and Intel collaborated to develop Moblin, the chip giant revealed some time ago.

Meego could go go,  but it could also be a no go. It is a matter of e-go. Ho ho! The Linux Foundation will be there to make sure the new marriage goes well.

Nokia, apparently, won’t despise Symbian in anyway whatever, and will carry on nestling it to its corporate besom (sic).
