Intel has announced an update to its chips range in a new pricing list, including the addition of several mobile processors for laptops and tablets.
Two Core i5 mobile chips for notebooks have been added to the mix: the i5-580M and the i5-560M. The former is a 2.66GHz processor with a 3M L2 cache, two cores and four threads, with a price tag of $266. The latter has the exact same spec, but is retailing at the slightly cheaper price of $225.
Intel has also introduced the i5-560UM mobile processor for notebooks and tablets, with a 1.33GHz clock speed, 3M L2 cache, two cores and four threads, with a price tag of $250.
The i7 range has also received an update with the addition of two new processors: the i7-660LM and i7-680UM. They have clock speeds of 2.2GHz and 1.46GHz respectively, while both have a 4M L2 cache, two cores and four threads. They carry a price tag of $346 and $317 respectively.
Intel’s Celeron range has not been ignored either, receiving two new entries as well: the P4600 and T3500. The former has a clock speed of 2GHz, a 2M L2 cache, two cores and two threads, and retails at $86. The latter clocks in at 2.1GHz, has a 1M L2 cache, two cores and two threads, and is available for $80.
Prices for existing models do not appear to have been altered. The new additions are now available.
