Owen Van Natta announced late yesterday that he was off, with News Corporation, the unlikely owner of MySpace, announcing his replacements straight away.
Mike Jones, the chief operating officer and Jason Hirscchom, the chief product officer will be promoted to serve as co-presidents of MySpace.
They will report to the chief executive of digital media for News Corp, Jon Miller.
The departure of Van Natta was hedged around with corporate gobbledygook. Miller said: “In talking to Owen about his priorities both personally and professionally going forward, we both agreed that it was best for him to step down at this time. I want to thank Owen for all of his efforts.”
It’s thought that Van Natta had had disagreements with his superiors at News Corp.
