Russians raid HP offices

The Glorious Putin Republic of Russia seems to have a beef with the maker of outrageously expensive printer ink, HP.

According to the Apple press office, er the New York Times, Inspector Knacker of the Moscow Yard raided the offices of HP looking for evidence of something, but he did not say what.

The Russian search follows a similar raid at the German offices of HP.

HP said that it was part of an investigation of alleged conduct that occurred almost seven years ago.

The conduct was by employees who no longer work at HP so is nothing to do with anything that is happening these days.

HP said that it was cooperating fully with the German and Russian authorities and will continue to conduct its own internal investigation.

German media reports claim that the the investigation centres on bribes that employees of a German unit of Hewlett Packard were suspected of making to secure a Russian contract for computer equipment.
