OKI Data Corporation and Toshiba Tec have embarked on a relationship in the world of mulifunction printers (MFI).
The pair have shaken hands and got all cosy, agreeing to work together to create a full-scale deployment of products and technologies.
They want to use this market to target businesses globally as well incorporate their existing products. These include the digital LED printheads made by OKI Data for Toshiba Tec products.
OKI claims that the LED side of its business has given it a huge successes in various global markets, including Japan, Europe, and Latin America. Toshiba Tec went one better with its current portfolio boasting that it had won awards for itsA3 MFP.
The pair said their success with such products showed that they could complement each other.
They will therefore develop products by pooling their technological strengths and complementary core technologies.
OKI Data plans to double sales of Managed Print Services based on its wide range of high-speed, highly-functional MFP products, while Toshiba Tec said that it will strengthen its sales by adding own-developed A4 size products to its product portfolio.
