NetMediaEurope launches

NetMediaEurope has today launched a new channel dedicated title,

NetMediaEurope CEO Dominique Busso headed up the launch of the new website at London’s Soho Hotel, introducing the website before NetMediaEurope and presented with a panel discussion about the challenges currently facing the channel and how it must evolve.

The new site will focus on news and development within the channel, as well as interviews with senior execs and comment pieces.  The site will also promote the use of new technologies in the channel and highlight innovative means of reducing costs and staying competitive.

Mike Magee, veteran of the Register, Inquirer and TechEye will run the site as Editor in Chief. NetMediaEurope has also entered a strategic partnership with TechEye.

The launch of means further expansion for NetMediaEurope, with a portfolio already including brands such as Gizmodo, Silicon, TechWeekEurope and PC Pro, as well as operating more than 40 websites across Europe.

Magee was part of a panel discussion with Future Horizons boss Malcolm Penn, and Clive Longbottom of Quocirca, which looked at some of the challenges and opportunities of the evolving channel marketplace, including the impact of cloud computing and social media in the channel.
