HP sues Hurd over Oracle affair

Giant multinational HP took the news that Mark “I did not have sex with that woman” Hurd was going to be president at Oracle rather badly and took him to court for an alleged breach of contract.

According to HP, Hurd was bound by agreements to honour, obey and cherish confidentiality agreements he had with the inkjet giant.

Hurd collected a cool golden goodbye package from HP estimated to be upwards of $35 million. There are persistent industry rumours that Oracle wants to buy HP.

HP wants to enforce the non-compete agreement it alleges Mr Hurd has breached.

Couldn’t Oracle just go and hire the winsome Carly Fiorina? She could be a powerful arrow to Larry Ellison’s bow. (Pictured: Larry Ellison)
