Valley Girl Sylvie Barak left life in the military to join the tech news industry two years ago and has hardly ever looked back.
Starting her career as a hackette for tech tabloid, The INQUIRER, Sylvie soon discovered she was rather good at being a thorn in Intel’s backside, and proceeded to extend the discomfort to the likes of AMD, Nvidia and other semis fab and fabless alike.
Sometimes known as the snarkastic gadget loving girl in a towel, Sylvie, whose bark is almost as bad as her bite, has also freelanced for the likes of VNU net, TweakTown and TG Daily. Having moved out of a sweltering hellhole in the Middle East, she now lives in the heart of Silicon Valley, where she enjoys the benefits of Starbucks and free Google Wifi.
Living by the motto “If you can't convince them, confuse them,” Barak is an old school hackette who knows exactly how to get the real story. Bold, brash, and a little bit brassy, she'll break scandals and five minutes later be tossing back a beer with the best of them.
Remember, when it comes to talking to Sylvie, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted and used against you.
